At Sandton Preparatory School, the safety and well-being of our students are our top priority.
Sandton Preparatory School was started in the year 2018 with only 2 students and offering Preparatory Classes only.
Regardless of the numbers, the vision was bigger than what met the eye. More students started coming in as the school offered services that were competitively higher than most in the area. This resonated with most Parents who saw something special when they entered the premises of the school.
As the school grew, the services improved and the numbers kept growing.
The Covid 19 pandemic hit and as lockdown was enforced in 2020, this meant schooling activities and sources of income were disturbed. The school was not an exception as we had to close down in compliance with the Government regulations.
Post Covid, as things slowly got to normal the school also saw a steady take off easing back into normalty which had been lost during the pandemic. This meant a lot of adjustments which included social distancing, the challenges teachers faced conducting lessons with masks but soon, all this was to be slowly phased away as the pandemic slowed down.
Sandton Preparatory School grew from offering ECD A classes to offering ECD A, ECD B and Grade 1.
This huge growth meant the staff compliment had to increase and also the facilities had to accommodate more numbers. This was done effortlessly by a contigent of hard working staff and the School Board.
More subjects were introduced, more extra curriculum activities also meant the school maintained an excellent balance for the learners. Educational excursions, trips and fun days also became a popular feature amongst the students demonstrating dynamism and ability to evolve from the School.
There was a sad moment in early 2022 as the School lost its Principal and Founding Member Mr Enerst I Makedenge. The devastating event left many in a quagmire as to what would then happen but thankfully a strong School Board and structures which were in place made sure there was no effect on the day to day running of the school.
An interim Principal was chosen whilst the board deliberated on this untimely event. The swift move from the board boosted confidence in the parents as it was visible the mission was still ongoing.
Sheer determination to make Sandton Preparatory School a place to learn, play and grow meant bigger possibilities. The school grew from offering justh Preparatory Classes and started offering Primary level classes.To date the school offers Day care for babies and toddlers, ECD A and B, Grades 1- 4.
Sandton Preparatory school offers; Affordable school fees, Computer literacy classes, Balanced diet meals, Door to door transport service ,Trained & Experienced Teachers ,Ministry of education based syllabus ,Educational Trips and Tours ,Strictly English speaking environment.
